THE SPIRIT OF YOGA – Understanding its Health Benefits
Yoga is the key to optimal physical and mental health. On International Yoga Day 21st June (which is also World Music Day), Dr Varsha’s Health Solutions in collaboration with BeingSattvaa brings to you The Spirit of Yoga, a musical rendition.
Yoga and Music both represent an inward journey towards the ‘Union’ of the mind, body and soul.
Through music, the Spirit of Yoga integrates the essence and universal message of the Yoga Sutras into our daily lives, transcending age, geographical and cultural boundaries. The main Sutras, sung in simple, rhythmic and lilting tunes, will be a most joyous, hummable and elevating way for people globally, to internalize and connect with the original tradition of Patanjali. The chorus singing of the Sutras will embody the universality of yoga and create an instant bond, encouraging listeners to sing along and feel the positivity and happiness emanating from the Sutras. The meaning of the Sutras is also explained on this musical canvas (in English and going further in most global languages) for listeners to understand, interpret and apply in various life situations.
In this age of fear, anxiety, stress, anger, and health concerns “Spirit of Yoga” holds the light to a new world – of positivity, freedom, joy, peace, togetherness, health and well-being!
